Summer Series: Mocha Banana Frappe

We are sharing some of our favorite iced coffee recipes from Katie Shepherd using our new Organic Instant Coffee, and this mocha banana frappe is amazing.. This is a delicious mocha banana frappe recipe that will leave you wanting more. You can make these for a special event or all summer long and don’t need to spend 4 bucks at a café every time you have a craving!

Mocha Banana Frappe

Serves 2


  • 1/2 cup Café Altura Organic Freeze Dried Instant Coffee
  • 1 ripe organic banana
  • 2 tablespoons organic unsweetened cocoa powder (or instant cocoa mix if you prefer a sweeter drink)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups milk (or non-dairy substitute)
  • 8 to 10 ice cubes


Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. You many need to add more milk or ice depending on the consistency you prefer.

  1. Mocha Dates Banana

    I make a similar recipe, with delicious results!
    a shot of cold brew 50-60ml
    1/2 banana
    1 1/2 tsp cocoa
    3 dates
    100-150ml coconut milk
    I am using all bio ingredients. Blend with 8-10 ice cubes…and enjoy!!
